Thank you for supporting my tiny business!

Materials:

3,5 mm crochet hook
Red, green and yellow yarn
Stitch marker
Stuffing
Darning needle

Abbreviations (US terms):

MC = magic gircle
Sc = single crochet
Inc = increase (2 single crochet in the same stitch)
Dec = decrease (single crochet decrease). I like to use the invisible decrease.
Ch = chain
Ss = slip stitch

Strawberry (make 2)

Work in continuous rounds.

R1: 6 sc in MC (6)
R2: (inc, sc) × 3 (9)
R3: 9 sc (9)
R4: (inc, 2 sc) × 3 (12)
R5: 12 sc (12)
R6: (inc, 3 sc) × 3 (15)
R7: 15 sc (15)
R8: (inc, 4 sc) × 3 (18)
R9: (dec, 4 sc) × 3 (15)
R10: (dec, 3 sc) × 3 (12)

Start stuffing.

R11: 6 dec (6)

Finish stuffing. Stuff firmly.

Fasten off and sew the hole closed.
I like to insert my needle through the center of the closed hole, bring it out on the opposite side, and pull. This will flatten the top of the strawberry.

Stem and Leaves (make 1)

Start with a slip knot. Leave a long tail for sewing.

Ch 5, turn. Starting in the second ch from the hook, work 4 sc.

Repeat 3 more times. You will now have 4 leaves.

Join to the first leaf with a slip stitch.

Now we will make the stem, which will connect the two strawberries.

First, insert your hook through a stitch on the opposite leaf, then make a ss.

Ch 35 (or more if you would like the strawberries to hang lower. I wouldn't recommend making the chain much shorter, as you may not be able to pull the strawberries through the loop.)

We will now make the leaves of the other strawberry.

Ch 5, turn. Starting in the second ch from the hook, work 4 sc.

Repeat 3 more times. You will now have 4 leaves.

Ss into the leaf that is connected to the stem. Make sure the stem is in front of your hook when you make the ss (photo).

Then make 1 more ss into the opposite leaf to close the hole in the middle.

Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Sew the stems onto the strawberries.

Embroidering

If you wish, you can embroider seeds onto your strawberries. I like to use a light yellow yarn for this.

How to Attach It to Your Bag

Fold the chain in half to make a loop.

Place the loop behind your bag handle.

Pull both strawberries through the loop.

Pull tight.
